He is a good offensive center that is likely headed to the NCAA much like Mark. Depending on which school he would go to he would have more than enough time to develop like his brother. Any time you can get a decent offensively talented center that is 6-1 in the back half of the third round, that's never a bad thing. Like everything, it would depend on who is on the board at 75 and 83, but he would at least be on the list of those to consider.
Plus with how the prospect pool is currently I would much rather the Flames have a few projects taken in this draft that will take a few years to develop. The prospect pool for the players that are in developmental leagues is very thin with only Jankowski, Hickey, McDonald, and Rafikov being notable. Once the current log jam gets worked out, there isn't much to replace the existing group. Having some decent prospects spaced out so they can add guys to the AHL rosters in 2018 will help the Flames to avoid the Blackhawks 2011 and 2012 downturn after losing a bunch of guys with nothing much to replace them.
I am similarly interested in Erik Foley because he's headed to the NCAA, and coincidentally Providence next year
