Yeah Girly nailed the point I was really going for. Yeah when Fed and Nadal reached the end of the prime there was someone there waiting (Nadal after Fed, Djoker after Nadal). If Andy weren't such a headcase I might give him a chance to fill the gap, but he is a major headcase so I can't take him seriously.

Nishikori has great game but not quite at the elite level. Dimitrov looks like a bust at this point. Milos is no threat to Novak. Coric may be the next guy but that still seems like 3-5 years away. Kyrgios, same issue as Murray. Novak is pretty much clear of someone who will definitely push him for the next few years. If he maintains the mental game as he has I think he wins at least 2 a year for the next 3-5 years.
