Just from the choices it seems that the NHL might not be Jankowski's dream.
He chose Stanstead (boarding school away from home) rather than Athol Murray or Shattuck . The hockey goal of a Stanstead hockey player would be to get to play in the NCAA.
Then he chose Providence rather than a NHL hockey factory like Wisconsin or UND or Denver or Boston College or... He also went there rather than the USHL...which would have prepared him for NCAA hockey. No indication or hesitation/rumor at playing in the CHL.
His Uncle Ryan (born in Calgary) was a scout for Spokane (1997-2003) was Assistant GM with the NYI (2005-2010) and then a scout for Montreal (2010-2013) and since then Head scout for Team Canada U18 and U20.
I was wondering how Mark J. got invited to team Canada's training U20 training camp the summer of 2013 (along with Monahan and Poirier)
He obviously has more advice and inside knowledge of how difficult it is to make it to the NHL and the need for a back-up plan.
Maybe with Uncle Ryan and Montreal sitting in Draft spot #33 it forced Calgary's hand at 21 and they knew he wouldn't be available at Calgary's #42
pick.
Fred Arthur was #8 pick (ranked #5) in 1980 and played a whole season in the NHL at age 20 before quitting the NHL to study to be a Doctor. Paul Coffey was picked #6 that year. Back then a Doctor was making close to the same salary as the Average NHLer.

We should be able to report these crazy nonsensical posts. None of this makes any sense, the brain farts of a mad man.
How would anyone even begin to address this post? It's next level bonkers.
