He's physically dominant, big, fast, incredibly good in all 3 zones and contributes on the scoresheet. He's the archetypal Calgary Flames player.
Great analysis of him here:

“I don’t know that numbers and the stats are going to define the players in this range here,” Central Scouting director Dan Marr told 630 CHED’s Bob Stauffer shortly after the final rankings were released. “Lawson Crouse is arguably the strongest player in this draft and he’s such an excellent skater for his size. The thing we like about him is that every game, every shift, he’s doing something, you notice something… He’s this generation’s Cam Neely, and that’s what he can bring to a team.”

So, is Crouse really a top 10 pick? It's actually difficult to say, but his average upside is nearly identical to a group of players ranked a handful of picks below him. History also tells us that Crouse has the largest bust potential of the players I looked at too, with around 75% of CHL players that produce in a similar manner and who are of a similar size missing the NHL. His well-rounded game arguably gives him a greater than ~25% shot at becoming an NHLer, however it's tough to say how much this increases his chances as we have seen solid defensive projections amount to absolutely nothing before.

While I would totally agree that he's a risky pick in the top 10, I think picking him around 15 would be a steal. I won't get my hopes up.
