Girly is host:
GGG could be host trying to defend her and keep host numbers up. This would be especially true if Girly is the captain. This is a risky play, since it links them if girly gets lynched and flips scum, but GGG is an aggressive player.
Girly is turned:
Similar to above. Because GGG is using meta-game logic in defence, he can argue that his play was still the right one even if girly was turned. Not much risk to him, potential to save a turned if the agent investigates oling instead.
Girly is town:
GGG is trying to keep a town player in the game. This is either good town play, or someone trying to establish town bonafides for after what looks like a probably cardflip.
Of course, GGG could just believe in the logic he's presented and be a very aggressive town player trying to sell everyone else on his idea. This has been a pretty aggressive defense even for him.

My logic is infallible and this is important for days where the certainty of the turned is much lower. The reason I am being hardheaded about it is people kept coming back to this take the spore out of play thing. It would be suicide for a host to defend a host like this. If girly is turned the defense is pointless as well as the agent kills her tonight.
If Oling is turned then me as host would have motivation for this play as of investigating oling disappears.
As a note I was also defending girly day one pre all of this mess. The one thing that is telling is Girlys lack of fight. If she were host or unturned I would expect more vocal support of my logic. So this discussion is likely moot for today.
