To New Jersey:
#32, #40, and Cole Cassels
To Washington:
Ryan Spooner
Scott Darling
Bill Arnold
Danny Biega
Wasn't easy to get rid of any of those pieces, especially seeing how Cassels is playing right now. But, he's a Canuck prospect, and we all know what happens to those, so we were willing to let him go.
I really like Spooner. He's a speedy, skilled, playmaker who had 8 goals and 10 assists in just 29 games last year for the Bruins. Likely 3rd line for them, but will hopefully remain on their pp and build value. Very excited about his future.
Darling comes at a gamble. He very well may remain back up to Crawford in Chicago, but if not, this turns into a huge win, especially with Dubnyk reaching UFA at years end. Not a fan of rolling with 3 goalies, but his price is low enough that we're going for it.
Hoping Arnold builds some value, and Biega had a 10 game stint in Carolina last year, and hopefully gets some more this year.
Thanks 3thirty for the very long and demanding (on my part) talks. This started with me just wanting Darling and turned into a whole new game plan that we were happy with at the end.
