Default Giroux Finally Comes Home

Giroux Come Home

Fans in Philadelphia finally got their wish as Claude Giroux was acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks.

The trade sees Claude Giroux come to Philly and in return the Hawks get Evgeni Malkin, Ivan Barbashev and the 21st pick in 2015 CPHL Entry Draft.

"Did we pay more then we wanted to? Absolutely! But it was for a player we'd been after for months and we finally have him. All the best to Geno and Ivan, they're going to a good Chicago organization." Said GM Schum.

Evgeni Malkin leaves the Flyers without playing a single game. Barbashev a really good prospect was developing well in Flyers system.

"We had couple other discussions we were having about Geno but Claude was the player we wanted badly and having him and Jamie Benn as our 1-2 puch up the middle should hopefully help us win a few more games and get back to the playoffs." Said Head Coach Johnston.

The Flyers Basically have the lineup ready to go. Giroux will wear the C next year.

LW: Gabriel Landeskog (A), Nikita Kucherov, Andres Lee, Pat Dwyer
C: Jamie Benn (A), Claude Giroux (C), Fran Nielsen, Boyd Gordon
RW: Kyle Okposo, Tyler Toffoli, Jakub Silfverberg, Mark Stone, Dale Wiese
D: Shea Weber (A), Jake Muzzin, Justin Braun, Adam Larsson, Mattias Ekholm, David Savard
G: Cory Schneider, Keith Kinkaid
