My issue with the self driving technology isn't the technology itself. It's that people will change their driving habits because of it (not everyone of course, but lots of people absolutely will). They won't pay as much attention, and if the sensors fail, they won't be ready for it. If it was an emergency backup type thing and everyone still paid attention to the road? Awesome. But that's not how it will end up. You're foolish if you think otherwise.

And yes, I genuinely enjoy driving. Even if they perfect self driving cars, I don't want one. Driving a car is fun.
