I get the evolution towards self-driven cars, and things being down for you by computers in general. However, I think there's something really satisfying about doing things for yourself…whether it's cooking a nice meal instead of out of a box, fixing something instead of calling a guy, operating a manual photo lens instead of picking filters on your phone, or yes, even driving a car.
We're slowly being turned into heads floating in a jar.

Will regular cars be eliminated once self driving ones come into effect?
These are all great examples but all can still be done if one really wants to. I can have a delicious pasta meal with the ready made stuff from the store, or I can go all out and do it myself if I'm really in the mood. The technology might make the pure act harder to get to put it won't eliminate it.
