I was just hoping you'd pick up that you were being condescending, for zero reason, on your own. Glad you did.

As far as the second paragraph, the only answer can be convenience and marketing. Which is too bad. However I myself get coffee there on occasion as a result of convenience (or if someone else is buying) so we all fall into the trap once in a while.

Also, picking your own topping or feeling that too much sauce ruins your sandwich is hardly being a connoisseur. Unless you have a very broad definition of what that is.
