I hate trading down. If you trade down, you will always be looking at what could have been. Trading down with New York to see New Jersey draft Zajac with the very next pick while we picked his teammate Chucko always comes to mind, especially since it was speculated at the time that Zajac was the player we thought would fall. All just speculation of course, but it still bugs me.

Are they any situations where the team that traded down in the 1st round ended up getting the better player than the team they traded with?
