Was thinking maybe Treliving might have an inside track from his time in Phoenix.
But where does he fit in the lineup?

You have:

Monahan
Backlund
Bennett
Stajan

Vermette is a downgrade on Monahan and Backlund. It would be idiotic to have him take Bennett's spot. And if you were to replace Stajan, a) Stajan is great in the room, b) Vermette isn't a whole lot better, and c) you would have Vermette replacing the one guy that actually IS decent in the circle so Vermette's impact would be minimalized.

It makes no sense at all.
