It's fine to drum up trade scenarios but let's at least attempt to work within the confines of what is publicly out there in terms of information.
Treliving sounded like he knows Wotherspoon is going to be a force in camp and I really think he intends for Wotherspoon to be in camp.

In the event that a new and young #5 is aquired, I think a guy like Tyler Wotherspoon will become trade bait. It's not necessarily a bad thing, if he's traded for value. It's how successful organizations rejuvenate themselves.
There are only so many spots to go around and Wotherspoon will be waiver eligible by 2016/17. It's going to be Baertschi all over again unless Tyler can grab the number 6 spot and run with it next season IMO. In that case I guess Engelland is our new #7. I should add I am very confident management will bring in a long term solution to anchor the third pairing next season. Maybe Wotherspoon's new partner?
Or Engelland's?
Or Schlemko's?
Or Morrison's?
Or Culak's?
There's lots of possibilities, but you can't get too attached to any one player. There are only so many spots. Ideally, you keep the best and trade the rest.
