I think 20 more years outside the playoffs is more likely than making once in the next 5.

I agree with you for the most part, although I do think the Jays prospects are more promising than what the Flames prospects were in 2010, but that's just splitting hairs.
Norris, Sanchez, Osuna, Hutchison, Stroman and Hoffman are good young pitchers that the Jays need to hold onto. Pentecost looks like a promising prospect as well.
But past those players there isn't much to be excited about.
I think the next thing that will happen is Gibbons is going to be fired, AA is going to make a last ditch effort to save his job/make the playoffs to acquire at least a starting pitcher and a closer or a set up guy. Jays likely don't make the playoffs, Beeston retires and AA is shown the door and it all starts over again.
