Not to mention, most cities have mom and pop diners all over the place that sell coffee and breakfast. They might not have brand recognition, but they are just as good and fast usually. Most people drive right past them as if it isn't even an option.

I actively seek out diners, smaller restaurants and the like. The more independent operations have by far the best food and beverage in the city.
