You have to be pretty dense to think this is some kind of feminist propaganda piece and there isn't anything wrong with having a female protagonist. Terminator 2 and Aliens and perfect examples and I think the character of Furiousa made complete sense in this universe. I think her and Max were displayed as equals and what the hell is wrong with that?
But for the sake of argument; at the pivotal moment of the movie, Furiousa and her troop of women essentially give up and just head out into the desert but Max convinces them otherwise. He basically kills off the remaining bad guys by himself and then saves Furiousa's life. Isn't that classic Hollywood? What the hell are these people even complaining about? That Max had no lines? He barely speaks in any of the movies lol.
