The Parise comparisons were more about 2 way play iirc. I have seen the Toews comparisons but as much as I like Monahan, those seem a bit lofty. If Monahan does develop to a Toews level, all the better.

I'm not knocking on Langkow one bit, he was a really good player for the Flames and one of my favorites at that time. His career high was 77 points, but for the most part he was a 50-60 point player. Monahan is already there at 20 years old and will hopefully continue to develop.
