This is a great hire for Edmonton.
I think anyone would have to be incredibly naive to think that Lowe or MacT will have any say in the hockey ops at all anymore. Chiarelli wouldn't have taken this job unless he had complete autonomy in it.
This is the beginning of a big culture change in Edmonton and it wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of that team gone very quickly, including guys like Hall.
