I did mine myself, cost about $100. If you want to do it, you just have to clean the steps well (I pressure washed and scraped the outdoor carpet glue loose, ugh) Then you roll on the paint that has grippy stuff in it, let it dry and seal it. Mine looks way better is super grippy and I've had it about 3 years now.
