Iggy probably didn't want the puck, but players will second guess now that he is there. It isn't his fault, but the entire organization and fans want Iggy to light it up one last time.
None of this happens if the Flames move on. Iggy hopefully gets everything he wants, as I respect him a ton. I just know the circus we got out of a few years ago, and to invite that back is not smart. The circus isn't his fault, it is ours, but none the less it is reality and we have to realize it. Win or Iggy, not both.

That's not an example, it's a ficticious scenario.
I could just as easily create an example where Monahan makes that pass, Iginla puts it in the back of the net his 7th goal that game and win the Stanley Cup!
None of this happens if the Flames move on....
