Agreed. This would only work if Iginla is:
a) healthy
b) still productive with decent skating
c) willing to be the wise old vet and accept he is not captain anymore
d) a nice fit because we have a gap on 3rd or 4th line or 2nd PP unit for a tough RW power forward that can contribute and shoots R.
e) not expensive on salary cap or in trade
A checkbox on all 5 may be a pipedream but worth some fun discussion...
The dream of him finishing a career here and hoisting Cup with Johnny and company, maybe just that, but who knows.
Hunter Smith, Poirier or perhaps an 2015 pick might fill that RW gap we still have, making this discussion just magical thinking.
