The Flames will always consist of a mix of old and young talent. As long as those players fit the mould and contribute, then they should stay as Flames. Guys like Wideman and Hudler are not easily replaced.

The Red Wings are the perfect example. They could've traded Datsyuk and Zetterberg after they won the cup, but think about how much those guys helped groom Tatar, Nyguist, etc.
Wideman got the A for a reason. Hudler is an obvious mentor type, as is Stajan (Hudler mentors the skill guys, Stajan mentors the grinders). And based on his post season interviews and comments, it seems like Jones is a bit of a glue guy as well.
