Nah, just sounds like you missed the part where the players union collectively bargained to let Goodell be judge, jury, and executioner in situations like this.
Bad decision by the players? Yup. But it's the system in place. Dont want to play along and you pay the price. Optics matter a lot to the league. This is essentially an HR issue, it's not a court of law. I'm sure the suspension will get reduced to a couple games and that'll be that.
