Until 5 years ago I was living there, and had been for 30 years. I didn't suddenly forget when I moved away. Plus, I still have many friends of rival teams that still live up there, and I talk to them pretty regularly and they still try to give me the gears about the Flames.
If you can't handle other fans either denigrating your team, or pumping up their own team, then you really have too thin a skin to be a hockey fan in Canada, or really a fan of any team anywhere. Toughen up.
