I think I would take Chabot over Roy. Roy has higher offensive upside, but Chabot has a larger frame and a calmness about him. I also like the character he showed after being scratched early on in the season. Shows a commitment to get better in all aspects of the game and being able to handle criticism.

If all the Flames had to do to get one of Werenski or Provorov is give up a 2nd rounder to trade up, I do it no hesitation. They are pretty much consensus top tier defencemen in this draft along with Hanifin.

I am also of the growing opinion that Chabot could become a better player than Werenski, but there is also a good chance he doesn't and will likely need more development time than Werenski.

Regardless of which defencemen are available, I still go with BPA. Kylington tumbling down the rankings scares me and I wouldn't take a chance on him unless the Flames were picking 20th or later.

I really like Harkins as a forward, even though Flames have a lot of C depth.
