GSM in my opinion is way better quality then Telus or Bell. I bought my son a Nokia in Dubia (duty Free shop) popped in his SIM here at home it works like a charm, and was a bargain price. Now you could not do that on the telus network. I think GSM is by far the most widely used sytem world wide.

It maybe the most used but does that mean it is the best? I don't think a company in Japan would spend $100's of millions to take a step back in the technology game....but then again I could be wrong
GSM is great now but wait until CDMA starts putting out technology that GSM can't even handle. Just like right now CDMA has fast download speeds and can hold more calls.
CDMA you can take the old platform and upgrade it.....GSM you have to take it down and put up new stuff. When you have to do that how can you stay competitive with the huge costs?
