I've always found it funny and disturbing how much animosity there is for passionate hockey fans from other markets. Even against Anaheim, who we don't have a whole lot of animosity towards, there were many comments about hating an old man who would point his "guns" at the camera after a home team goal. Seriously, we're now hating old men who make an innocent gesture?
It's different if it were the Oilers or the Canucks, who are true rivals. It's different if you truly despise the team and it's players. However, there are people who hate the Leafs simply because they are covered more by the media than the average team, or god forbid, the Flames. Why do people even care about this stuff? Wanna talk to me about little to no media coverage? Try being a Florida Panthers fan too.
