I really do feel sorry for female reporters that are putting up with this. Journalism, especially sports journalism, can be tough for a woman to get a fair shake already. Being humiliated like that constantly can really affect their careers. Just imagine if it was your wife, sister, daughter, etc... and you saw their hard work being nullified like that. It's soul crushing.
I heard the reporter on the radio today, and she said that her boss gave her the option of not reporting at the game because of this issue, but she felt it could hurt her career not to report.
They also had some meatheads calling into the radio. One guy in particular saying that Canadian soldiers died in wars so that we can have freedom of speech. I can't believe how ignorant some people are on that issue.
