You sound like a classic coffee snob. Put five cups in front of you and I'm guessing you couldn't tell the difference between your hipster 5 dollar coffee and 7/11 brew.
Regardless, for drip coffee, McDonalds is quite good. You are indeed in a small minority trying to pass it off as awful, and the rate you keep going on and on about it, it sure sounds like a sore spot for some reason.
