Rogers is not available in the country, not where I live anyhow. Platinum is and I believe DaVinci. I am a Platinum customer, service is very good but the speed is not as fast as cable in town. However, it is far superior to any form of dial up service, they dont compare. Even with fast dial up, my husband could never use his Acumap geology program on dialup. This is a huge package, and dialup simply does not have the bandwidth to accomodate a program like that. But with wireless, he can, and he can easily receive logs from wells being drilled too. That was never possible on dial up, not unless you wanted to sit and watch an e-mail try to download for over an hour. So his only option with dial up, was to drive into his office in Calgary to receive the info

The $39.95 per month is the price you pay if you sign up for a 3 year contract, this is new as of this year. I am on a 2 year contract, and pay $54.95 per month. I did however, get free installation. There was a 2 week time frame last June where that promo was offered. I had talked to them and had not committed, they got back to me with that offer, and I then signed up.
The various rates, speeds and options on their website do not exist as of now. They are negotiating with another server, but to date, those packages do not exist, so they really should take them off their website.
My present upload is up to 1 meg and my present download is up to 2 meg.
