I agree with Muta, Alberta should be the mecca for clean and efficient non-renewables, and the leading innovator for alternative energies. And I think we have a good start on that, including Capital Power Corporation's Halkirk farm and TransAlta's Soderglen farm. We also have the Enerkem Biofuels plant in Edmonton, which falls in sync with Alberta's Nine Point Bioenergy Plan. That said, we are lagging behind in solar/alternative energy output and development compared to Ontario and Quebec. Alberta should not be lagging behind these other provinces; we should be leading them.
