Broke the code? Eff that. What code says he has to take abuse from officials. If the words went the other way around he'd be looking a lot worse than he received. I think that's the point though... whether it's selfish. Is it good, bad or nothing at all - for the team, not just for him.
But who knows - Habs seem to thrive on controversy, and maybe it's just what they need... because they sure need something.
