I have a Dlink one set up for about 3 years. My modem and router are in the basement and I have the adaptor connected to a switch that is connected to my home entertainment system in the living room on the main floor. I've got the tv, cable box, xbox 360, ps3, and media box all hard wired to it. Works great and I haven't had any problems in the 3 years I've had it.
