It was poor execution by the Flames coaching staff and the defense. They played Perry and Getzlaf like they were Sedins. Those two are similar in ways, but they are way more opportunistic than the Sedins. You saw that on the Perry goals where he didn't have a ton of space but he made the most of it and bam goals.

That doesn't mean that adjustments can't and won't be made. Game 2 is a complete different beast than game 1.
