My observation is that many folks expect the best of both worlds when it comes to buying tix on CP.
When demand is low, it seems that people have no problem with getting cheap tickets (ie. below face value) from fellow CPers. For many low demand games, it's difficult to get rid of tickets unless they are at STH cost. People that go to one or two games a year can pay as little as STHs who have to shell out bucks for preseason games and every single home game
When demand is high, folks get all hot and bothered about 'scalping' and STHs trying to make a few bucks off high demand tickets. They expect people to sell them at face on CP when they can get several hundred dollars elsewhere.
If you want access to playoff tickets at a reasonable price, buy a bunch of preseason split squad games and a few Tuesday night Columbus games at face value and go from there.
