I don't want the Flames to change from what they've been doing, which is creating opportunities for young guys and developing them into good players.
The failing of the Flames in the past was trading away picks/youth and paying for established guys to fill roster spots. Continuing that way would never have seen guys like Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennet or Ferland playing the roles they have. This year has been more successful than expected, but that shouldn't change the new plan. It's still a rebuild.
