I hope Hawkeye retires to his secret family He should have died at a million points in this movie. There are situations he can excel in but it just doens't make sense for his character to be fighting alongside the Thor and Hulk in the same battlefield against massive super-powered threats.

I kind of get the sense that he will be. I can see a role for him Civil War -- but not in the Infinity War films. Having said that, I don't know if Black Widow or Falcon will be any better suited for Infinity War. But there's lots of time to enhance or change the roster between now and then.

The Cap universe or sub-universe or whatever is really set up well for spys and intrigue and stuff. All of those characters (Cap, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Black Widow) fit together really well and are perfect for spy thrillers or secret agent shenanigans or even open war -- but on a human scale. I forgot to say that I really liked how prominent Hawkeye was in this film, and that he got some good moments and lines. This was well deserved after he was himself for so very little of the first movie.

Vision and Scarlet Witch should be good additions for the more over the top, cosmic-y type stuff along with Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk.
