For relatively cheap-to-acquire 'fun' cars, I still have a huge soft spot for the 4th generation F-Body. The Camaro and Firebird / Trans Am.
- They still look pretty decent.
- They come in a hard-top, ragtop, or glass T-top roof (I miss T-tops).
- They produce a great amount of usable power with PLENTY of torque (especially with an LS1 motor).
- They sound fantastic with an aftermarket catback.
- They have a nice wide stance to them that - if you're willing to stiffen the chassis and suspension with cheap-as-borsht aftermarket pieces - gives a really good feel to them when cornering and some confident stability on the highway.
The problem is finding them locally. You're more likely to find these cars for sale in the United States than up here for whatever reason, and for even cheaper prices. People seem to be holding onto them up here.
