I with Sliver on this one.

Bang for the buck, V8 Mustangs are awesome. Total throwback muscle car feel and rumble, for an absolute bargain. Especially if it is a stick. Again that is what a lot of younger buyers don't get. They want push button fast, like a PS3 game. They don't want to work for it. Part of an awesome fast car, in my opinion, is making the driver a part of the go fast equation. In something like a GT-R, a first day driver, or a racing legend, are gonna get the same result out of the car on a drag strip. That's no fun.

I had a decommissioned RCMP interceptor 1989 Mustang LX 5.0 V8 5 spd notchback with vinyl seats, no radio, crank windows I bought at an auction for $2500 in 1997. That thing was hilariously fast for the day, and was an ultra sleeper. It was basicaslly just an engine and wheels. And it was so sketchy in the twisties. Like late 70's 911 Turbo sketchy.

I don't know what they did different to the interceptors, but the thing would destroy same generation Mustang GT's. I think a huge part was the weight, but it was certainly geared and tuned differently. I sent it to a premature grave doing a smoke show, and snapping the drive shaft. It was an honourable death.
