That is what Mustangs are for.
I love cars so much, but I'm cursed with valuing financial prudence even more. Fortunately, Ford has the vehicle for guys like me. Mustangs are totally fun and you can mod them to be pretty hot cars as well. My current one is stock (other than the wheels and the stereo), but it is dirt cheap to maintain, mod, insure, etc.
I only paid $11,800 for it, which is not far off what my uncle paid for one service on his Porsche ($6k alone for the timing chain). I park it all winter, and then I have a fun car in the summer that hasn't tied up a lot of my money and no matter what goes wrong it won't be expensive to fix. Plus any mechanic can work on them.
