I don't see the need for Malkin. He's an amazing player but why trade players that work hard together and have made the second round for a "leader" on a team that got bounced in 5 games? Monahan is going to be amazing so is Bennett, Backlund is quietly becoming one of the leaders on the team and Stajan personifies what it means to be a Calgary Flame. That centre depth is pretty good.

I doubt the Flames even show interest in Malkin IF he becomes available.
