Quite frankly, Bieksa, a vet, calling out a rookie the way he did in the media was uncalled for. Personally, I would have preferred it if Ferland had been the bigger person, but I completely understand why he did what he did.

Imagine if Ferland had skated away from the net with the puck and not scored. It would have been perceived as an insult. He was just doing his job. There is a reason the Canucks had an extra attacker and it wasn't so they could shoot the puck in our corner. It was a well deserved explanation mark! No apologies needed the better team won fair and square!
