That Stajan, Jones, Ferkland line won the series for the Flames, and deserved the points they were able to put up last night. So strong on the forecheck, so smart in their own zone. The Sedins had plenty of cycle time this series but just could finish, it really was the perfect example of corsi vs anti-corsi. I think the game plan was to let them cycle it out until they tired and not give any chances up, and it worked perfectly.

Houghson and Simpson kept talking about how they were always on their game, but in my eyes the defenders let them keep the puck as long as they wanted, as long it was on the outside. This was a dangerous game and needed the cagey vets in Stajan and Jones to make it happen. Ferland's energy and power balanced out the line and as early as late game two you could see canuck defensemen always looking out behind them.

The top line will be getting a lot of credit for breaking out, taking over the game and closing out the series. But it was this third line who really won this series. Makes me glad I spent so many months on this board defending Stajan.

Oh yeah and Long live Ferkland!
