I punched my radio in the car the other day when Spector said "McDavids junior stars are better than Crosby's"
This has nothing to do with the Oilers once again fluke but McDavid is NOT the next comming of Crosby, nothing suggests so.
People who make a living reporting hockey forget how good Crosby was...I DON'T.
Crosby played in the CHL for 2 years as a 16-17 year old, as an 18 year old he had 102 points in the NHL.

15-16yrs old 59gp - 54g-81a-135pts---lead his team in scoring by 23 points
16-17yrs old 62gp - 66g-102a-168pts--lead his team in scoring by 52pts.
121gp - 120g - 183a - 303pts (2.5 ppg)
McDavid
15-16yrs old 63gp - 25g-41a-66pts---2nd in team scoring
16-17yrs old 56gp - 28g-71a-99pts---3rd in team scoring
119gp - 53g - 112a - 165pts (1.38 ppg)
Even if you use his 17-18 year old season of 120 points(still not 1st on his team) he still doesn't come close to Crosby.
If McDavid gets even close to 100 pts next year I'll eat crow but watching him play he'll never be close to Crosby.
