How is this not a win for Calgary Flames fans?
I will grant you that it was a poor trade talent-wise, especially long term.

However...

Tyler Seguin was traded more for him being a problem within the team dynamics and being a poor culture fit for the Bruins. Not to mention the persistent rumors of poor preparation and regular partying instead of being ready to play. Seguin has not shown to be a responsible pro so far, so even though he's a dynamic player who can put up a lot of points, which is valuable in and of itself, he was thought to be a distraction to the group which can keep a team from reaching its potential.

Trading Seguin wasn't the wrong idea, but it's hard to get equal talent back for a player of his talent level, so in that sense you are always likely to lose that trade.

I'll take the bulk of what Chiarelli has done over 1 or 2 poor moves that all GMs make, even the best of them.
