OMG!WTF! - thanks, however, as with all the studies I have read, it centres on the benefit of the disabled students. There is a brief discussion of how testing divided the regular students into subgroups and the top subgroup was unaffected by having disabled students in the room but there was no comment on the other subgroups.
That is the issue I have with integration and mainstreaming. I can not fathom that when a disabled student has a fit/tantrum/loose bodily fluids it is not a detrimental distraction to the rest of the class. Unfortunately these situations are a reality in an integrated or mainstreamed classroom.
Also interesting that Driveway remains silent on his "literally hundreds of links" he can send me and would do so in just a few hours.......two weeks ago.
