Well now that all the feelings of disbelief, anger and frustration in that order have passed I'm firmly in the "who cares" camp.

By my count 5 of those players have nothing to show for it and the 5 that do had a hell of a supporting cast to go with them.

In the last 25 years the Art Ross Trophy winner has won the cup 3 times:
Malkin in 2009 with the Penguins
St. Louis in 2004 with the Lightning*
Lemieux in 1992 with the Penguins

The question isn't if McDavid is the next Malkin, St. Louis or Lemieux but who are the Oiler's version of Crosby/Stall, Stillman/Richards/Lecavalier and Stevens/Jagr?

Even if McDavid is the leagues most prolific scorer in the comming years one player does not make a team and they especially don't extinguish a dumpster fire.
