Yeah, as you said, it's not really news to people who have had to endure it. He doesn't even try to hide it. He calls the games like they are all dedicated Vancouver broadcasts. He shouldn't be calling national broadcasts.
I had to laugh last night when Hughson was defending Burrows by saying that he had every right to keep whacking at the puck in the crease because the puck was still loose, then Simpson had to clarify for him that it was Sedin's after-the-whistle whack that had the Flames pissed off.
It's funny how an ex-Oiler has to be the advocate for the Flames just to try and bring some professionalism to the broadcast.
