Trees and Neighbors (and arborist recommendation)
Question for the group and maybe a good local recommendation.
I moved into my new place a few months ago, and met my neighbor for the first time (owner of rental property).
He wanted me to look at getting the branches trimmed on my tree that overhang some of the power lines heading into his property. Not an urgent thing (if they didn't fall during the big snow storm last year, there should be a big right), but not an unreasonable request either.
I know he can trim anything that's hanging on his side of the property line, but is there any obligation for me to do it?
If I get an arborist to do it, (pretty tall tree and large-ish branches), it would be a reasonable request to split costs right?
Having said that, the neighbor on the other side said the previous owner had another branch cut where they split the cost, but in that case, the branch was actually hitting the other house in high wind conditions.
Having said that, anyone have a arborist recommendation?
