I thought after a timid start to the first period where the play was fairly even we took over teh game in the second when the refs put away the whistles when we got mugged.
Canucks knew the Flames are a 3rd period team and came out firing shots from the red line to pump up the corsi numbers. We slowly but surely took over the game, and created a lot of chances and should have won that thing easily.
What a shift by big Joe, you know hes amped up to win. That was a mans shift by him to create that winning goal. Shift of the playoffs so far for sure.
What can you say about the franchise Samuel Bennett, he was dominating the sedins and was everything we knew he would be.
I thought Ferland was awesome, he was a wrecking ball.
If we can come out with that same 2nd period in the 1st and cash in on our chances this is coming back 2-0 to Calgary. Regardless if we play our game the Canucks are not in our league.
We are up 2 points to 0 right now, and the focus turns to getting the next 2 points which will be huge.
